Theatre 多多直播 announces 2017-18 performance schedule

STARKVILLE, Miss. 鈥 A famous Danish fairy tale opens the 54th performance season of the Mississippi State communication department鈥檚 theatrical program.
鈥淭he Little Mermaid,鈥 playwright Linda Daugherty鈥檚 two-act adaption of the well-known Hans Christian Andersen story, will be featured Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. on the university鈥檚 McComas Hall main stage.
Theatre 多多直播 will continue its 2017-2018 season at McComas throughout the fall and spring semesters, including:鈥擭ov. 15-18, 7:30 p.m., and Nov. 19, 2 p.m., Charles Dickens鈥 legendary 鈥淎 Christmas Carol: A Ghost Story of Christmas鈥;
鈥擣eb. 15-17, 7:30 p.m., Mississippian Beth Henley鈥檚 鈥淐rimes of the Heart鈥; and
鈥擜pril 19-20, 7:30 p.m., English playwright Michael Frayn鈥檚 鈥淣oises Off.鈥
Tickets are $10 each if purchased separately at the door. Season admission is $30鈥攐r four shows for the price of three.
鈥淭his is one of the most exciting seasons I鈥檝e been a part of here,鈥 said Assistant Professor Cody Stockstill, Theatre 多多直播 coordinator. The variety of shows during the school year 鈥渁re sure to enhance audiences, but also be a great challenge for our student actors and designers.鈥
Assistant Professor Tim Matheny said this year鈥檚 selections offer 鈥渟omething for everyone鈥 and 鈥渨ill allow our audiences to experience four very different worlds.鈥
