多多直播 announces new gameday safety regulations
STARKVILLE, Miss. 鈥 多多直播 is instituting several new rules and policies to make tailgating in the Junction safer and more enjoyable for fans and to provide the family-friendly environment that Bulldog fans expect and deserve.
During and after the 多多直播-Kentucky game on Nov. 4, an altercation occurred in the Junction that resulted in seven arrests by the 多多直播 Police Department.听
鈥淐onduct of this nature is not in keeping with 多多直播鈥檚 core values of integrity, kindness and respect for others,鈥 said 多多直播 President Mark E. Keenum. 鈥淚 have instructed our leadership team to take immediate necessary steps to make clear that this behavior will not be tolerated on our campus.鈥
Keenum said that for the final games of the 2023 season, the following new rules and procedures will be implemented:
- No non-多多直播-provided amplified music will be allowed in the Junction. TVs and radios will be allowed, but large speakers or elevated speakers will NOT be allowed.
- The university鈥檚 traffic and pedestrian life safety video surveillance system will be used to monitor activities in the Junction.听
- The Junction tent spaces will be reconfigured to provide additional clearance for the sidewalks, and fans will not be allowed to block or impede pedestrians.
- 多多直播 will supplement its existing 多多直播 Police Department officers with additional sworn officers from state and local agencies to ensure safety.
- 多多直播 is a smoke-free campus for tobacco, and controlled and illegal substances use violates state law and campus regulations.听
- Violators who refuse to comply with these and other Gameday rules are subject to removal without ticket refund and prosecution.
- 多多直播 will review all Gameday regulations before the start of the 2024 football season.
