The Great Chalk Walk
Mississippi State鈥檚 art department and the university鈥檚 Ladies Social Circle organization hosted the inaugural Great Chalk Walk Thursday [Aug. 20] in front of the department鈥檚 Visual Arts Center Gallery at 808 University Drive. Participants of all ages created colorful, large-scale chalk art pieces designed to brighten a major thoroughfare leading to campus. Organizers said the event was well-attended, and they plan to offer similar events in the future. The Great Chalk Walk is among many events in the university鈥檚 10th annual Dawg Daze program.
